GEMMA PETRIE

Gemma Petrie is an artist who grew up on the Isle of Skye and is presently living and working in Glasgow. She studied drawing and painting at Edinburgh College of Art.

Her work includes drawings, paintings, photography, hand painted trinket boxes, mirrors and reconditioned furniture. She combines her love of the outdoors and the unnoticed elements of the countryside with fantasy and fairytale.

KNICKKNACK

All Gemma’s mirrors, boxes and furniture are hand painted with one off images. They are primed, with at least three coats, painted and then varnished. The mirrors and boxes range from £4 to £40. Reconditioned furniture prices depend on the type, and amount of work done. Commissions are very much welcomed. Gemma will take an old piece of furniture and hand paint panels or drawers with original images. If you have an old wardrobe, chair, or chest of drawers that could do with a new lease of life, or are looking for a particular item of furniture and would like something unusual please get in touch.
